Al Mada respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our digital platform, mobile application, and associated services buy now pay later (BNPL) (‘Mada BNPL”).
By accessing or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Our privacy policy describes the ways in which we collect, store, use and protect your personal information and it is important for you to review this privacy policy. By "personal information" we mean information that is associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person, including data collected automatically or manually during your interaction with the Mada BNPL or through our customer support services.
We do not consider anonymized information to constitute personal information as it cannot be used to identify a specific person. We collect personal information from you when you use the Mada BNPL operated by Al Mada (including, without limitation, when you telephone or email our customer support team). By providing us with your personal information you expressly consent to us processing your personal information in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.
We may amend our privacy policy at any time by posting a revised version on the Mada BNPL. The revised version will be effective upon posting. We may but are not obligated to notify you of material changes through in-app notices, email, or other appropriate means and, following such posting, your continued use of the Mada BNPL will constitute your express consent to us continuing to process your personal information in accordance with the terms of our revised privacy policy.
We would encourage you to check the Mada BNPL regularly for the announcement of any amendments to our privacy policy.
Al Mada automatically collects certain technical and usage data when you access or use the Mada BNPL. This includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, session duration, access times, and clickstream data.
This information is collected through log files and similar technologies for purposes that are critical to our operations, including:
This data may be correlated with your personal account if necessary for fraud investigation or risk scoring, but will otherwise remain anonymized.
As part of your registration on the Mada BNPL, you will be asked to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, email address and/or telephone number and other similar information as well as some additional information about you such as your date of birth or other identifying information. Additionally, in order for us to verify your identity, we may need to request from you valid proof of identification (e.g. in the form of a copy of your passport, resident’s visa or permit, national ID card and/or driver’s license).
Al Mada follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit Mada BNPLs. The information collected by log files includes Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. However, the collected information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the Mada BNPL, and gathering demographic information.
We will also need to collect selected financial information from you, such as your credit card and/or bank account details.
You may need to input this financial information into the "My Account" section of the Mada BNPL. We use this financial information for billing purposes. Following your registration on the Mada BNPL, you should not post any personal information (including any financial information) anywhere on the Mada BNPL other than on the My Account section of the Mada BNPL. Restricting the posting of personal information to the My Account section of the Mada BNPL protects you from the possibility of fraud or identity theft. The posting by you of any personal information anywhere on the Mada BNPL other than on the My Account section of the Mada BNPL may lead to the suspension of your use of the Mada BNPL
We may also collect information about your computer (for example, browser type) and navigation information (for example, the pages you visit on the Mada BNPL) along with the times that you access the Mada BNPL.
We may collect additional information from or about you in other ways not specifically described here. For example, we may collect information related to your contact with our customer support team or store results when you respond to a survey. We may also collect feedback ratings and other comments relating to your use of the Mada BNPL. Where we aggregate personal information for statistical purposes, such aggregated personal information shall be anonymized.
As part of our Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services, we may use automated decision-making tools to assess your eligibility for credit services. This includes the use of algorithms and risk-scoring models based on the personal and financial information you provide, your behavior on the Mada BNPL, and data obtained from third-party sources such as credit bureaus and payment service providers.
You have the right to request human intervention in cases where decisions are made solely by automated means and which significantly affect you, including decisions related to credit approval.
You also have the right to express your point of view and to contest such decisions, by contacting us through the methods set out in the “Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy. Our reply or non-reply to any matter is at our sole discretion.
When you provide your Personal information to us, you are deemed to have authorized us to collect, retain and use that Personal information for the following:
Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may need to disclose your personal information to law enforcement agencies, government agencies or other third parties where we are compelled so to do by a court order or similar legal procedure; where we are required to disclose your personal information to comply with law; where we are cooperating with an ongoing law enforcement investigation or where we have a good faith belief that our disclosure of your personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity or to investigate a possible violation of our Terms. You agree that we may disclose and transfer, for the purposes specified above, your personal data to other affiliated companies.
Any personal data supplied by you will be retained by us and will be accessible by our employees. All voluntary information may be made publicly available on the Mada BNPL and therefore accessible by any internet user. Any voluntary information that you disclose to us becomes public information and you relinquish any proprietary rights (including but not limited to the rights of confidentiality and copyright) in such information. You should exercise caution when deciding to include personal or proprietary information in the voluntary information that you submit to us.
Additionally, information includes details of your user ID, feedback ratings and associated comments relating to your use of the Mada BNPL. Otherwise, we will only disclose your personal information to a third party with your express permission such as but not limited to CRIFF and Sanad.
We do not share or disclose any of your personal information to third parties in the normal course of doing business and will only share or disclose your personal information with third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Additionally, we do use comments made by you about the Mada BNPL for marketing purposes and by making such comments you expressly consent to our using such comments for marketing purposes.
We may collect personal data from third-party partners, credit bureaus, or payment providers, as part of our verification or fraud monitoring processes.
We cannot guarantee the privacy of your personal information when you share personal information with other Mada BNPL members.
This privacy policy does not cover your release of your personal information to another Mada BNPL member.
You can access and review your personal information in the My Account section of the Mada BNPL. If your personal information changes in any way or is incorrectly presented on the Mada BNPL, you should immediately update or correct your personal information (as applicable).
Please note that we shall retain your personal information during and following the end of your use of the Mada BNPL as required to comply with the law, for technical troubleshooting requirements, to prevent fraud, to assist in any legal investigations and to take any other actions otherwise permitted by law.
By providing us with personal information, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to, and its storage on our servers located inside or outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, depending on infrastructure needs. Where data is transferred outside Jordan, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The Internet is not a secure medium and we cannot guarantee the privacy of your personal information. You must enter your username and password each time you want to access your account. Choose your password carefully using unique numbers, letters and special characters. Never share your username and password with anyone. Any voluntary information you disclose to us becomes public information, and you relinquish any proprietary rights (including but not limited to rights of confidentiality and copyright) in such information.
Our Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or Mada BNPLs. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on our Mada BNPL, which are sent directly to the users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on Mada BNPLs that you visit.
Note that we have no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
We do not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of eighteen (18). If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our Mada BNPL, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our Mada BNPL with regards to the information that they shared and/or collected in our Mada BNPL. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this Mada BNPL.
